When the achievement  of a project exceeds expectations

Designing 'customised' set-ups is an added value for any manufacturer.

DEA, thanks to its consolidated know-how and the high specialisation of its Experts, not only offers customised solutions from a pure design perspective (colouring, finishing, painting), but also from a structural point of view.

Design, Quality and Flexibility are concrete values that 'live on' in no standard design, production, set-ups and after-sales services for your customer satisfaction.

DEA Technicians know how to transform possible criticalities into added values through ad hoc realisations.

The designers' skill lies in being able to optimise space by making 'irregular' rooms harmonious by adapting, for example, furniture to niches and corners.

Not all workplaces have linear walls, without recesses, columns and/or piping; much depends on the business and sector, Industry or Automotive, for example.

Fundamental, therefore, is the initial design approach, which takes place at the customer's premises and allows us to understand their needs, how they work and how they are organised.

CRISTALLINA Garage – Switzerland - is the perfect example testifying DEA's flexibility and maximum freedom of customisation.

Our Customer requested a special set-up that could 'fit' inside an irregular recess, characterised by the presence of a pipe and a column.

The aim was to organise a functional working area that would allow the technicians to work in a clean and tidy environment: everything within reach, in favour of productivity.

Thanks to the precision and meticulousness of our Experts, a shaped worktop was designed in way to 'embrace' the drain pipe and to fit into the corners of the column to the millimetre.

The worktop is the surface that covers the workbench. This plays a key role in the workshop: in addition to guaranteeing safety and greater durability to the entire structure - since it is coated with a special material, scratch and acid-proof material - it allows operators to perform all activities that require the support of a support point, to work or to have objects at hand. The quality of the worktop is a key aspect of the efficiency of the equipment: it can determine its performance and durability, influencing ROI and business. The shutter module placed above the workbench is composed of pull-out shelves that allow the storage of material, preserving its security once the door is closed manually.

To close the spaces created at the side of the drawer unit, our designers realized two custom-made doors and two side support panels with adjustable feet. The adjustable feet are essential to adapt the set-up to floors that may be uneven after years in the workshop.

In terms of aesthetics, however, the edge of the worktop was customised with green colour of the same shade as the Company logo, while the base of the drawer unit was profiled with an aluminium skirting board.

What features must a workshop drawer unit have? As with all other elements that complete the configuration, this module must also be highly resistant, equipped with drawers where even the heaviest items can be stored, as well as small parts. The drawer unit can also come into contact with corrosive materials, which is why it must be coated with epoxy powder to prolong its structure over time. The drawers must also be fitted with agile runners, which facilitate the soft closing, with no return.

The result of the set-up was of great satisfaction for both the customer and DEA technicians. The synergy created within a working Team, Customer and DEA’s ones, creates cohesion and stimulates active participation that leads to the realisation of 'success stories'.

Customisation and brand image enhancement are two key aspects of the branding strategy: a quality workshop must not only be technically efficient, it must also meet design and aesthetic requirements, which are increasingly important in the automotive world. The value of the brand and its positioning in the market must be reflected across the board to generate a positive perception in customers, and this also entails intensive image work, so that the brand can be easily recognised and identified.
