Technical furniture solutions for assembly lines

Written by Lino Di Betta | 15 May 2023

Why is it recommended to include DEA's furniture solutions in an assembly line? And what kind of workbench is suitable for this environment? Let’s find out together, with the DEA team.

Choosing a workstation for an assembly line allows you to make intelligent use of all the available space, meeting the workers’ needs, while at the same time streamlining and improving the efficiency of the daily work activities. Let's take a closer look at all the benefits that custom modular workbenches can provide for assembly lines.

Space exploitation and flexibility

First of all, a modular workstation solution allows you to set up your assembly line in a way that’s tailored to your actual requirements and the available space. The set-up is made up exclusively of the necessary modules, positioned and combined in such a way as to exploit all the available surface areas, even those that would be dead zones with standard furnishings.

Moreover, this type of industrial furniture also gives you the freedom to change the configuration over time by simply revising the layout, modifying and/or removing the modules already installed, and adding any new ones needed to meet the new requirements.

Meeting needs and increasing efficiency

Only a technical workbench is able to ensure that the assembly line’s needs are met:

  • durability
  • solidity
  • stability
  • ability to withstand a wide range of stresses (mechanical, chemical, etc.)
  • high capacities to support heavy loads
  • safety throughout every work stage

Meeting these needs also means improving efficiency: the work is rendered more fluid, and the production processes become leaner. A custom-designed technical furniture solution saves you both time and money, while at the same time improving productivity.

Order, cleanliness, and attention to detail

Comfort and aesthetic performance should not be overlooked either.

On the one hand, the furniture solutions and high-quality industrial workbenches are specifically designed to simplify organisation and cleaning operations. Everything has its own place: each tool its own housing, each material its own compartment, each document its own drawer. And the safety, well-being and general comfort of the workers is improved.

On the other hand, thanks to the attention to detail and finishes, DEA technical furniture solutions also change the image of the production department itself. The environment is rendered more pleasant, more consistent with the company's values, and more in line with its distinctive features.

DEA furniture solutions for industrial environments

Who can you turn to for results like these on your assembly line? DEA, which has developed a line of furniture solutions and workstations specifically designed for industrial environments. At DEA, we design and create your tailor-made solution: starting with your actual needs, we design and build the most suitable modular composition for your space.

The range of modules consists of drawers, benches, worktops, cabinets, wall modules, waste containers and fluid and power distribution modules, all made entirely from welded sheet metal.

Here are a few examples

If you’re looking for a metal drawer unit that’s resistant to impact, abrasion, and corrosion and is capable of withstanding extremely heavy loads, we have the right one for you. Our drawer units (available in different sizes and with different numbers of drawers) are all equipped with:

  • reinforced HD slides, with capacities from 50 kg up to 200 kg (extensible upon request)
  • fully extractable drawers, with ergonomic handles made from extruded aluminium
  • locks for each drawer (key, badge or code, as required)
  • anti-tipping system, with only one drawer able to be opened at a time in order to prevent the module from becoming unbalanced and tipping
  • adjustable feet, for perfect levelling
  • perforations on the back for feeding electrical cables or hoses.

Like the drawer units, our other technical furniture modules are designed specifically for industrial needs.
