DEA undertook this major challenging and promising project related to the production of a special module for an important Italian industrial company.

The specific Company requests and needs

The first contact between that Company and DEA Italian Worklab took place in early 2022 during a well-known manufacturing industry fair held in Bologna.

A single trolley composed of two cabinets was required to satisfy the Company specific need. The idea behind was to retain their individual characteristics, but fit into a single configuration, thus providing more space and load capacity with the possibility to move it without any efforts.

Moreover, the trolley, consisting of two AR-447.11 cabinets, had to be able to be lifted and transported easily and without any particular effort on the part of the operators, in order to guarantee compliance with safety and ergonomic requirements.

A challenge met with great enthusiasm by DEA Italian Worklab

The project foresees specifically the creation of a totally new module leading to the realisation of a trolley solution with a lock: a special structure, equipped with a set of 4 pivoting, high capacity wheels that guarantee the perfect movement of the trolley.

The module comes complete with 4 supports for lifting and moving it with specific platforms.

We were able to fulfil an additional customer request regarding the production and delivery schedule of the trolley: this made the project even more special.

Having to cope with a requirement related to plant, located in an underground room, the company suddenly had to organise the repair/maintenance service within a very specific timeframe.

Given the importance of this issue, the access to this area was constrained by specific times and dates. Furthermore, the only way to be able to bring the required tools for repair/maintenance inside that underground area was by means of a trolley that could be lowered from above.

DEA Italian Worklab not only met a design challenge, but also a timing challenge, accelerating and rescheduling production and setting new priorities to satisfy all customers, delivering the project within the newly agreed timeframe.
